Steelworker Tribute – ‘Steelworker Tribute’ was created to honor the many generations of Pittsburgh steelworkers.  Their hard work, dedication & American pride contributed to the industrial might that came to define the Steel City.  For the steelworker featured I used a combination of four layered faces to create one image.  The faces included a Caucasian, African-American, Asian-American & Native American.  Like the very ingredients that were forged into the making of steel, Pittsburgh itself was a melting pot of diverse faces and cultures all working towards a common goal.  All of these elements came together to transform the city and region into the ‘Steel Capital of the World’.

"Welcome Home Daddy!" – Illustration I created depicting a scene which I’m sure was played out every day at one time in many households across western Pennsylvania for several generations of Pittsburgh’s steelworkers & laborers. The illustration portrays a young father laboring away at the steel mill, whether it was American Bridge Co, Armco, J & L, US Steel or wherever it may have been. In the end, all that was swept aside and there was nothing more he looked forward at the end of the day then coming into the loving arms of his kids and his family.

Pittsburgh Rescue & Life Flight - Illustration created to recognize the many doctors and nurses in Pittsburgh involved in emergency medical services (EMS) & patient healthcare. Pittsburgh has earned a reputation worldwide for its medical schools and pioneering advancements in medicine. The city and region has one of the best hospital systems in the country with UPMC leading at the fore-front.
